Coastguard Rescue Teams have been called into action in our area after an incident at Saltburn.
The Redcar and Staithes Coastguard teams were paged at 3.20pm on Wednesday and tasked by the Humber operations room at Bridlington to an incident at Huntcliff in Saltburn.
Shortly after both teams were deployed word came that the incident had been successfully resolved by Cleveland Police and the teams were stood down.
The public are reminded that if you see anyone in trouble on the beach or cliffs you should dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard.
