...and a person had to be cut from a car after a two-vehicle smash in our area which saw three casualties taken to hospital.

 

Fire crews and emergency services were called to an industrial estate in our area after a large fire broke out at the weekend.

Seven fire engines and a hydraulic platform were sent to Pine Street on the Skippers Lane Industrial Estate at Cargo Fleet after the fire started at around 6.30pm on Saturday.

Large plumes of black smoke could be seen billowing into the sky as firefighters tackled the blaze.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.

 

A motorcyclist has been injured following an incident near Pinchinthorpe yesterday.

Eyewitnesses said a man was lying on the floor and appeared to have come off a motorbike close to the entrance to the Guisborough Forest and Walkway Visitor Centre at around 3.30pm.

A number of police vehicles attended the scene on the A173 as well as paramedics.

Paramedics attended to one patient with a shoulder injury but they didn’t require any further treatment.

Emergency services were called to Church Lane in Grangetown at around 10.25pm on Saturday.

The road was reportedly closed from Tawney Road to the fire station.

Cleveland Fire Brigade confirmed that two appliances were sent to the incident from Billingham and Loftus.

Three casualties were treated at the scene and one was extricated from their vehicle by the fire brigade before all were taken to hospital.
