Police are warning members of the public about some lost medication which could prove dangerous if taken by someone who has not been prescribed them.
Prescribed sleeping tablets, Diazepam and Codeine were believed to be lost between Ormesby High Street and the Brambles Farm and Thorntree area yesterday.
The medication could be dangerous if taken by someone who has not been prescribed it.
Anyone who may have located any of the medication is asked to take it to their nearest pharmacy or police station.
Delays are expected on a major road in our area from today, as emergency roadworks take place.
The A174 Marske Bypass will be closed eastbound from today for approximately three days between the Longbeck roundabout and the Quarry Lane roundabout to engineers to repair a gas leak.
There will be diversions in place using Longbeck Road, Redcar Road and Marske High Street.
Delays are expected on the diversion routes.
The westbound carriageway of the A174 will remain open during the works.
The Redcar Coastguard Rescue Team have been called into action in our area.
The team were paged just afer 4pm on Sunday following reports of multiple people who were wave dodging on the slipways along the Redcar seafront.
Two search teams were deployed to give safety advice.
Now the coastguard has issued advice to the public saying it is dangerous to engage in wave dodging especially during high wind conditions with the water up to the sea defenses.
The public are reminded that if you see anyone in trouble on the beach or cliffs you should dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard.
