There have been another 80 positive cases of coronavirus across Teesside according to the latest 24-hour figures.
The highest rise was in Stockton, with 37 new confirmed cases, whilst in Middlesbrough there were a further 16.
Here in Redcar and Cleveland there have also been a further 16 cases.
Police have arrested a man on suspicion of drug driving in Redcar.
The 44-year-old was arrested after police received reports of a man behaving suspiciously in the Redcar area.
The man, who had been driving an Audi A3, was reported to be behaving suspiciously on The Esplanade at around twenty to five on Saturday morning.
The man was stopped in his vehicle and was arrested on suspicion of drug driving after failing a roadside drugs test.
He was later released under investigation, pending further enquiries.
A new school has opened for children from all across the borough on the day pupils return to school across the region.
The Mo Mowlam Academy, which offers specialist provision for children, has been built in Redcar opposite Redcar and Cleveland College on Corporation Road and means that more children will be educated closer to home.
Previously, more than 30 children in the borough with specialist needs had to be educated elsewhere.
The school replaces the Grangetown school which had specialist provision for children with a number of needs and was previously known as Pathways and had a limited capacity of 66 pupils.
The new academy will be able to accommodate up to 100 primary and secondary school pupils.
