Another 66 cases of Covid-19 have been recorded across Teesside today according to the latest 24-hour figures.

The largest number of new cases were discovered in Stockton, where new 23 cases have been reported.

In Middlesbrough there were a further 19 new cases, whilst here in Redcar and Cleveland there were a further 12.

A local swimming baths hit by flood damage could be closed for good after it was confirmed it would cost £1.7m to bring it back into use.

The plant room at Eston baths, on Normanby Road in Eston, has flooded three times over the past decade, with the pool remaining closed since a flood last summer.

Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council issued a statement yesterday over the future of the 60-year-old pool.

The council said it is now considering another potential site for Eston baths, and said it would be looking at external funding as it did not want to burden taxpayers.

Police have seized a motorbike which was being driven dangerously in Redcar

Officers from the Redcar Neighbourhood Team seized the high powered motorbike on Saturday on Micklow Close in the town.

The motorbike was reported by a member of the public for being ridden in an antisocial and dangerous manner in the community.

Enquiries are ongoing to locate the rider of the bike.
