...and a woman has been taken to hospital following concerns for her welfare following an incident in Middlesbrough.

 

The latest figures show that there have been a further 334 new cases of coronavirus recorded on Teesside in the past 24 hours.

Public Health England data showed that Stockton had the most recorded cases, with 121.

In Middlesbrough there were a further 88 cases, whilst here in Redcar and Cleveland there were a further 62.

 

The team from the Redcar Coastguard have been called into action in our area.

Just before 11am on Thursday the Redcar Coastguard Rescue Team was tasked by the Humber operations room at Bridlington to an incident at Redcar beach opposite the bandstand.

However shortly after leaving the station to attend the incident the team was stood down as the incident had been succesfully resolved by Cleveland Police.  

The public are reminded that if you see anyone in trouble on the beach or cliffs you should dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard.

 

A woman has been taken to hospital following concerns for her welfare following an incident in Middlesbrough.

Rail lines were closed between Middlesbrough and James Cook University Hospital yesterday afternoon after emergency services were called by people concerned for the woman's safety and wellbeing.

Cleveland Police was called to the blue footpath area near Prissick in Middlesbrough at 1.40pm.

The woman was taken to the nearby James Cook University Hospital for treatment for facial and leg injuries.
