The latest Public Health England figures show a further 262 cases of Covid-19 across the four Teesside boroughs.
Stockton saw the highest increase of 93 and remains the area with the most people being diagnosed with covid-19.
In Middlesbrough there were 80 new confirmed cases, whilst here in Redcar and Cleveland there were a further 52.
It's been announced that all care home residents in Middlesbrough and Redcar and Cleveland will have received vaccines by the end of this week.
The local clinical commissioning group confirmed that all over 80s locally will have been offered the vaccine by the end of this week.
They also confirmed that two extra hubs have applied for approval to be vaccination centres in rural East Cleveland.
Two neighbourhood officers got more than they bargained for when they entered a house and found four snakes that had been abandoned by their owner.
The officers went into an address on Doxford Walk in Hemlington after concerns that a cannabis farm was in the property.
Instead, the team found two abandoned dogs and the snakes, which included a large 11ft boa constrictor.
Both officers got to work to safely remove the animals and they were taken to a local vets.
