A further 122 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed on Teesside.
The latest figures released by Public Health England yesterday show that the rate of new infections has more than halved compared with Monday's data.
The biggest increase was in Stockton, with 49 cases, whilst in Middlesbrough there were 28.
Here in Redcar and Cleveland there were a further 21 confirmed cases.
Meanwhile, Redcar's Mp says that the town should be moved into Tier 2 after a drop in covid cases.
Speaking in the House of Commons, Jacob Young MP said the people of Redcar & Cleveland deserve recognition for their hard work in cutting the infection rate.
A number of cars have been destroyed following a fire in a supermarket car park in our area.
The four car blaze broke out in the supermarket car park near the Skelton branch of Aldi on Pheasant Fields Lane yesterday afternoon.
Eyewitnesses to the incident said it appeared a small car had caught on fire and the blaze spread quickly to vehicles parked nearby.
Onlookers reported the cars were empty at the time and no-one appears to have been injured.
