The number of new covid-19 cases across Teesside has continued to slow down;

Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with private CCTV or dash cam footage to come forward following a report of a sexual assault which occurred on Ormesby Bank;

...and officers are appealing for any witnesses or information on a burglary which occurred between 2:00pm and 3:00pm on Friday in Loftus.

 

The number of new covid-19 cases across Teesside has continued to slow down.

Latest figures show 120 new positive cases were recorded yesterday.

The highest number of cases were recorded in Stockton, with 47 new cases.

In Middlesbrough there were 27 new cases, whilst here in Redcar and Cleveland there were a further 26.

 

Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with private CCTV or dash cam footage to come forward following a report of a sexual assault which occurred on Ormesby Bank.

The incident occurred as a group of teenagers walked from the top of Ormesby Bank in the direction of Uppals Off Licence store between 3:55pm and 4:30pm on Friday.

One of the group, a teenage girl, was sexually assaulted.

Any witnesses or anyone who may have dash cam footage or private CCTV which could assist the investigation is asked to contact Detective Constable Catherine McKenzie from Redcar and Cleveland CID on the non-emergency number 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

 

Officers are appealing for any witnesses or information on a burglary which occurred between 2:00pm and 3:00pm on Friday in Loftus.

It has been reported that prescribed 4 x 100mg of Fentanyl patches and 8 x 300mls of Pregabalin tablets have been stolen from a property on Zetland Road.

This controlled medication could be extremely dangerous if consumed by anyone it was not prescribed for.

Several hundred pounds worth of cash has also been reported to have been stolen.
