Police have revealed that they have seized thousands of pounds worth of drugs in raids across the area;

Police have revealed that they have seized thousands of pounds worth of drugs in raids across the area.
During July, Middlesbrough Neighbourhood Policing Team carried out 14 drugs warrants across the town, resulting in thousands of pounds worth of drugs taken off the streets of Middlesbrough.
The team arrested 17 people in connection with drugs offences and seized 125 cannabis plants and thousands of pounds worth of class A drugs, including cocaine and amphetamine.

The volunteer crew of the Redcar RNLI lifeboat were called into action in our area yesterday evening.
Just before quarter past eight last night, the team were called to respond to a police incident on the River Tees.
However the incident was quickly resolved, and the launch was cancelled.
The Staithes Coastguard was called to respond to an unusual incident involving a seagull at the weekend.
On Sunday at arounf 6pm the team were tasked to assist a seagull that was trapped on a cliff at Whitby.
Initial reports were that members of the public had been putting themselves at risk by trying to rescue the seagull that was caught by its beak by fishing line that had become attached to the cliff.
To provide public safety and to ensure that no one put themselves at risk during any attempted rescue, a Rope rescue technician was deployed to bring the sea bird to safety it was then was handed to the RSPCA and a lady from Whitby Wildlife Sanctuary for treatment.
