The number of Coronavirus cases in our area has again shown an increase over the weekend.

According to the latest figures published yesterday by Public Health England, there are currently 294 confirmed cases in Redcar and Cleveland, out of a local population of just under 137,000 people.

That's up from 278 cases yesterday.

There are currently 496 cases confirmed in Middlesbrough, a figure which has also risen, up from 481 yesterday.

 

Police are appealing for the public's help after a quad bike was stolen in our area.

The blue Yamaha Raptor quad bike was stolen from Skelton Industrial Estate at around 10.45pm last Thursday.

Now police are appealling for any sightings of the bike or information on the theft.

Anyone who can help officers with their enquiries is asked to contact Cleveland Police via the 101 number.

 

Police are appealing for information after a burglary occurred at Thorntree Cemetery in Middlesbrough.

The incident occurred last week at the Chapel building in Thorntree Cemetery on Cargo Fleet Lane between 3pm on Wednesday and 8am on Thursday.

A Stihl petrol strimmer, a Kawasaki strimmer and a petrol can were stolen from the premises.

Anyone with information regarding this incident or anyone who may have been offered the items for sale is asked to contact police on the non-emergency number 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
