Police have made two arrests after a womans body was found at an address in North Ormesby.

Police were called to a property in the Dorothy Street area of North Ormesby after a member of the public reported concerns for a person inside the address.

Sadly on arrival, the body of a woman was discovered and inquiries into the circumstances of her death, which is currently being treated as suspicious, have begun.

A man and a woman have been arrested and are in police custody.

Extra patrols remain in the area for reassurance and anyone with information is asked to contact Cleveland Police via the non-emergency 101 number, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Her Royal Highness Princess Anne was in Redcar yesterday.

The Princess Royal was in town to open the brand new Redcar and Cleveland Citizen’s Advice Bureau.

The organisation has a new base at Queen Street, and by locating their new offices in Redcar they hope to ensure that there is easy access to their services.

The Princess also visited Middlesbrough Football Club Academy as part of her visit to Teesside.

Police officers from our area are inviting the public to come along to meet them later today.

Neighbourhood Officers will be at The Gleneagles Centre in New Marske today from 16:30.

Everyone is welcome to go along to say hello and discuss any concerns that you may have regarding your local area.
