New mothers got together to take part in a global event to encourage breastfeeding at the weekend.
Dozens of mums and their babies and children from Redcar and Cleveland all met up at Kirkleatham Museum and Grounds, near Redcar as part of The Global Big Latch On event.
The event was part of National Breastfeeding Week where the mothers and their families enjoyed a picnic in the grounds after feeding their babies at the exact same time as other mums across the world at 10.30am, on Saturday.
It was organised by the mothers themselves but the council’s Early Help team is encouraging more mums in the area to breastfeed, if it is possible.
