Police are appealing for information after a man was robbed whilst sat in his car in Grangetown.

The incident occured at the traffic lights at the junction of Church Lane and Fabian Road in Grangetown between 02:50am and 3:05am on Saturday 4th April when two men approached the 59-year-old victim in his vehicle.

One of the men opened the doors and repeatedly punched the victim in the face and both males demanded for the victim to hand over his cash.

The victim did not hand over his money but the men managed to steal a satnav from inside the vehicle and they both made off on foot towards Carlyle Road.

Both of the men are described as being white males in their 20s, one of them was around 6 ft tall and the other was slightly smaller. Both males were of slim build and they both wore dark clothing with their faces covered.

As a result of the attack, the victim sustained bruising and swelling to his face and lost two of his teeth.

Anyone who may have been in the vicinity at that time who may have witnessed anything are asked to contact Temporary Detective Sergeant Paul Hodgson on the non-emergency number 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
