Police in Guisborough have succeeded in removing another uninsured vehicle from our areas roads;
Police are continuing to appeal for information following the the discovery of a woman's body on a major road in our area;
...and an appeal is being made for volunteers to get involved in a major event taking place in East Cleveland.
Police in Guisborough have succeeded in removing another uninsured vehicle from our areas roads.
Officers from Guisborough Neighbourhood Policing Team received many calls from members of the public in relation to the way that a Ford Ka vehicle was being driven in the Guisborough area.
The team have now recovered the vehicle, which was uninsured, and removed it from the public roads.
Police are continuing to appeal for information following the the discovery of a woman's body on a major road in our area.
Police were called at around 3.30am on Saturday by a motorist reporting someone in the westbound carriageway on the A174 Parkway near Ormesby.
When police arrived at the scene, the body of a woman was discovered.
Inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death are continuing, however she has now been identified and officers are not currently treating her death as suspicious.
Police are appealing for assistance from anyone who travelled on the Parkway early on Saturday morning, anyone with dashcam footage, or anyone who may have seen a woman in dark clothing walking along the carriageway from around 1am.
Anyone with information should contact Sergeant Jon Stokeld of Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit on the non-emergency number 101.
An appeal is being made for volunteers to get involved in a major event taking place in East Cleveland.
The East Cleveland Klondike Grand Prix team are looking for volunteers to help support the event in everything from traffic management to answering questions from visitors on the day.
