Two people are set to go to trial after stealing a Mini Cooper from a garage in Loftus.

It happened in April when they allegedly stole the car as well as speakers and a pair of trainers that were in the back seat.

They pleaded not guilty to three of his charges at court on Monday and was granted bail.

Now the pair are due back in court on the 18th of October.

Ormesby residents are being encouraged to go down to the pub and get a heart check.

Nurses will be checking for conditions including diabetes and high blood pressure.

It comes after the news that more than 28 thousand people in Redcar & Cleveland are unknowingly living with a heart condition.

The 20 minute appointments will measure blood pressure, blood and cholesterol and nurses can then give advice.

The heart checks are taking place at the Centurion Pub between ten and half twelve in the afternoon on Monday.

Redcar Rocks is taking place this weekend.

The music and comedy festival is finally returning after a two year break.

There will be five stages, comedy, a dance tent, a fair and a silent disco and well as the opportunity to camp.

The festival is set to take place at the Corus Sports Club in Redcar on Friday and Saturday.
