135 drivers have been found to be driving whilst under the influence of alcohol or drugs in the area.

The results come after a week-long campaign last month where police carrying out random alcohol and drugs tests on drivers.

A total of 2475 breath tests were carried out across both Cleveland and Durham.

Its aim was to raise awareness of the dangers of driving under the influence because it's one of the four main causes of fatal crashes.

A cash machine in Redcar has been found to be a scam.

Last week a bank reported that a card had become stuck in an ATM.

Police found that it had a device attached to it in an attempt to steal the card.

Police are looking for those responsible but for the time being are urging people to be careful when using machines.

Anyone who's suspicious of a machine or thinks they've been a victim of a scam can call Cleveland Police on 101.

There will be no trains between Redcar and Saltburn from this weekend due to engineering work.

The vital work will upgrade the switches and crossings that allow trains to move from one track to another.

This means there will be no trains from tomorrow until the second of August but a bus replacement service is being organised.

Passengers are asked to check the national rail website before travelling and make use of alternative transport.
