Police have scaled back a search for a young girl in Redcar.
Yesterday morning officers received a call from a man saying he had seen a girl around the age of 5 walking along the Coast Road on her own.
She was seen near the Stray Café walking towards Redcar and was described as white with brown hair and wearing a blue fleece.
Other people have described seeing a woman frantically looking for her daughter.
Police investigated and searched for the girl but have now scaled back after receiving no reports of missing children.
Anyone with information or who might have seen her is asked to call the police on 101.
More than 40 elderly people will have to find new a new home due Eston nursing home closing.
Healthcare company Bupa announced yesterday that the Hillview Nursing Home will close despite a fight from the council.
The closure would mean that 45 residents would have to relocate.
In 2015 the home wasn't meeting national standards and was blocked from taking in new residents.
But the council says improvements have been made and it is disappointed at the decision to close Hillview.
There'll be no trains between Redcar and Saltburn at the end of next week due to engineering work.
The vital work will upgrade the switches and crossings that allow trains to move from one track to another.
This means there will be no trains at all for five days from the 28th of July but a bus replacement service is being organised.
Passengers are asked to check the national rail website before travelling.
