More than four hundred people have signed up to take part in this year's triathalon on Redcar sea front;

Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team have released details of an incident at the weekend.

The team were called out to help a 53 year old Redcar man who became unwell whilst walking up Roseberry Topping with his son.

The Team were training in the area so were quickly able to respond to the incident.

Team members set off from the car park at Newton-under-Roseberry with first aid equipment to locate and help the man.

He was assessed at the scene by mountain rescue team personnel before being assisted back down the hillside to the carpark.

The incident lasted just over an hour and involved around 12 team members.

 

More than four hundred people have signed up to take part in this year's triathalon on Redcar sea front.

It takes place on Saturday the 30th of July on Redcar seafront.

And this year the event is set to be bigger than ever with the competition becoming a qualifying events for the World Age Group Championships.

It includes a 5k run, a multi-lap cycle course and a swim in the sea

For anyone who wants to give it a go, entries have reopened today on Trihard's website.

And other highlights include a mystery tour in a converted double decker bus and ideas for creating thrifty ceremonies.

It takes place on the 23rd and 24th of September at Kirkleatham Museum.
