Police are appealing for information after a crash in Guisborough.

It happened on June 7 around midday on the A171 eastbound and involved a Kawasaki motorbike and a silver Vauxhall Insignia.

The motorcyclist was taken to hospital with grazing and an injured knee.

Any witnesses are asked to contact PC Daniel Badger on 101.

40 people have been found to be intoxicated while driving during the first two weeks of a summer drink and drug driving campaign.

437 tests have been carried out across Cleveland and Durham so far since the beginning of June.

Almost 10% of those people tested were driving under the influence.

The campaign aims to raise awareness of the dangers of drink or drug driving, one of the main causes of fatal crashes in the country.

It will run until the end of this month.

Police are holding a property marking event in Saltburn on Saturday.

Residents can get a free etching to help keep anything from bicycles to mobile phones out of the hands of criminals.

The etchings not only reunite owners with their property, but also help provide evidence to convict the thief.

The event takes place on Saturday from ten o'clock til midday near the hut at Saltburn allotments.
