The inquest into the death of an Eston pensioner who died after a motorbike hit him has been adjourned.
He was walking on the second of April when an off-road motorbike hit him.
He was taken to James Cook Hospital where he was described as being in “serious condition” and then passed away on April 12.
Now an inquest into his death has been adjourned while police continue to investigate his death.
Police are appealing for witnesses after a stolen scooter crashed with a car in Middlesbrough.
The crash happened in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Police were called to a home on Richmond Court due to a “disturbance” before a man left on a suspected stolen scooter.
It crashed with a silver Ford Focus at the junction of Meadowfield Avenue.
The scooter rider was taken to hospital and treated for head injuries and no one else was hurt.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101.
Residents are invited to Kick off the Summer in Redcar this weekend.
The event will take place over four days and will celebrate summer with children's entertainment, sand sculpting and a continental market.
This year the event will be based on the grass area in front of Tuned In.
There’ll also be family workshops, a bar and food will be available.
The event will be on from 10:00am today until Monday.
