Redcar Athletic are again eyeing the skies nervously, with another upcoming clash in doubt.

With Wednesday night's local derby fixture against Wolviston postponed due to a waterlogged pitch, Saturday's home tie is also in doubt with the weather forecast not showing too much improvement to raise hopes that the pitch will be playable in time.

If the game goes ahead Redcar Athletic will likely be fielding the same starting 11 which hammered Whitehaven 6-0 in Wearside League Cup on Saturday just gone. Joe Blackburn, Lee Blackburn, Joe Ferguson, Danny Wray and Matthew Dunford would all have missed Wednesday's game due to work and other commitments, which would likely keep them out for Saturday as well.

Just when a great opportunity arises for 1 or 2 of the up and coming reserve team players such as Sulaiman Massaquoi, Liam Fox or Luke Walton to try to make a breakthrough into the 1st team the weather comes along to scupper their chances and it's already looking that way once again come Saturday.
