The Teesside League are flying the flag for the region as they reached the last four of the FA Inter-League Cup, on Saturday.

The Teesside League representative team are through to the semi-finals of the FA Inter-League cup after a hard fought 3-1 victory at holders Isle of Man, goals from Stuart Rose in the 17th minute and Nathan Liddle in the 62nd minute gave them a 2-0 half time lead, Matthew McQueeney made it 3-0 in 78th minute before the Isle of Man League scored a late consolation in the 82nd minute to make it a final score of 3-1, the league now awaits the draw with the Spartan South Midland League (2nd Division), Southern Amateur League and the West Yorkshire League all in the hat.

On the League front St Mary’s College move up to 4th place with a 5-0 victory at Nunthorpe Athletic, Lew Kaid scared an opening brace in the 15th and 28th minute, Paul Vaughan made it 3-0 in the 32nd minute which remained the half time score, goals from Guido Battista and Adam Rees secured the St Mary’s victory, Staithes Athletic raced into a 6-0 half time lead at Billingham on their way to an 11-0 victory, James Armstrong scored four time, Matthew Dundon scored a brace with Ryan Thompson, Luke Weed, Matthew Griffin, Joe Butters and Ryan Gibson all on target, Grangetown Boys Club fell behind to visitors Lingdale when Khalil Khawaja scored in the first half, the Boys Club struck back with a brace from Lee Seed and other goals from Mark Ward and Liam Manual, Redcar Town took a 3rd minute lead through Clark Reader when they entertained Yarm FC, Sam Blythman securing the 2-0 victory with a goal just after half time.
