Redcar Athletic dominate game V Stockton Town
Redcar Athletic have continued in their winning ways after thrashing opponents Stockton Town.
In the first half, Athletic started out the more defensive team, limiting their opponents to only one shot on target, which Athletic keeper, James Fleming, stretched to save.
The tactics were changed in the second half though, showing instantly with Lewis Wood finishing past the keeper from a Chris Bivens' cross, in just three minutes into the second half.
Redcar very nearly put themselves two goals ahead only three minutes later after a shot from Andy Jennings was saved, then the rebound put just wide from Lance Skelton.
In the 54th minute, Redcar continued showing their dominance with Adam Preston doubling the lead with some tremendous passing play before finishing past the Stockton goalkeeper.
Athletic continued to dominate with Andy Jennings closing down the keeper, after a loose backpass from Towns defence, and deflecting the ball just wide from the goalkeepers clearance.
In the 78th minute though, Redcar finally got their third goal from a simple header, after Lewis Wood wasn't challenged in the air from a Joe Ferguson corner kick.
Athletic almost made it four in stoppage time with Michael Woodhouse dribbling past a number of defenders, before his final shot was well saved by Stockton goalkeeper, Michael Arthur.
