Guisborough manager Chris Hardy enjoyed Wednesday's 8-2 win over Whinney Banks, but all our featured Northern, Wearside & Teesside League games are off

By Guisborough Town manager Chris Hardy

Wednesday evening saw a tricky tie played in some adverse weather conditions against a motivated, competitive Whinney Banks side.

After a shaky start that saw the away side take a early lead the lads soon got into stride and went on to score eight goals on the evening.

On reflection this game had periods where both sides engaged in a competitive game, the noticeable difference between either team on the evening was that of the quality of our play in the offensive third.

We now look forward to a semi-final away tie to York in the next round.

A second continuous appearance in the final awaits us if we can do the business against our next opponents.
