Guisborough manager Chris Hardy was happy with an 'excellent three points' in the Northern League First Division.

By Guisborough Town manager Chris Hardy

Saturday saw the long journey north to Bedlington with Gale force winds forecast on a heavy playing surface this fixture promised to be a very tricky one.

First half saw us take a comfortable lead into the half time break, Bedlington 0:2 Guisborough.

Second half saw a further goal added to our tally without reply, Bedlington 0:3 Guisborough.

On reflection this result proved to be a excellent three points on the road.

In the opening 45 minutes we managed to control the game which gave us a great platform with goals scored and a clean sheet which we took into the interval.

The second 45 minutes proved to be a bit tighter and at times we had to defend in numbers   until Smith scored a well taken third for us and from that point on the game was over.
