Marton Cricket Club host two open days this coming week for aspiring lady cricketers.

Yorkshire Cricket Board is trying to raise participation in Women and Girls Cricket throughout Yorkshire. Marton Cricket Club are taking the first big step in the Middlesbrough area of setting up a Woman and Girls only cricket section, and hope, with the interest the Easter sessions on Tuesday 29th and Wednesday 30th April 4-6pm will generate, it will be the first of many Woman and Girls Cricket sections in our area.

Lauren Winfield (England and Yorkshire Woman’s Cricketer) will be making a guest appearance on the Tuesday of the two-day sessions. Both days are Free of charge to all Women and Girls aged 8 and over who wish to attend. The sessions will be delivered by Yorkshire County Cricket Board Community Cricket Officer’s and will involve coaching basic cricket skills and a lot of fun games appropriate for all ages.

This is an open event so there is no need to register, just need to turn up and have fun.
