An Open day is to be held tomorrow, Monday, October 5th for interested parties to receive information about the development of the Kirkleatham Estate.

This follows from the initial Enquiry by Design event, a process which has brought together a range of specialists, service providers and community representatives to analyse the estate, recently held in August. The process, led by The Prince’s Foundation, assisted Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council in producing an outline plan of how the estate might develop following extensive consultation with stakeholders.

Those attending the event on Monday will have an opportunity to discuss the emerging plans with Council officers, as well as having a tour of the key historic buildings on the estate.

Councllor Dale Quigley, cabinet member for economic growth at Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council said:

“We are very proud to have Prince’s Foundation as our lead partner in what has been a major process in discussing the regeneration of the area. This is the beginning of what we hope will be a long-term transformation of the estate.”

The Open Day runs from 2pm-6pm in the Education Suite at Kirkleatham Museum.
