Cleveland Police are appealing for information after a 35-year-old woman was robbed near to the cemetery and Saint Aidan’s Church in Boosbeck near Lingdale at around 11.30pm on Tuesday night.

Originally reported by the Police as being in the Saltburn area, It's believed prior to the victim being robbed, she had a medical episode and collapsed as she made her way to the bus stop off Oakley Road on the High St. At some point after this an unknown person or persons approached the victim and stole her black Chenille handbag with a maze pattern on it which contained cash and prescription medication and made off from the scene. The victim was then assisted by an unknown female who was out walking with her dog.

Police are appealing for this woman to come forward and also for anyone who might have been offered any prescription tablets to come forward. Witnesses are asked to contact PC Phillip Birdsall on the non-emergency 101 number, or by calling Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
