Redcar Yarn bombers have been left delighted by the return of missing knitted RNLI man.

The lifeboat man was reported missing last Sunday afternoon, news that had left the yarn bombers feeling disheartened.

Although this did not come as a surprise as many similar incidents were reported last year, the yarn bombers had hoped that their display would be left alone this time.

However, after a tip off on Monday morning the knitted fellow was found on a bench near his comrades.

The Redcar Yarn Ninjas, as they have named themselves, posted on their Facebook page stating that their creation had been found: "After a tip off this morning, I went down and found him lying on the bench next to our display, he is now back in place. Huge thanks to whoever it was that brought him back."

They also went on to thank the Zetland Place page, who appear to have given them the tip off as to where he was.

He has since been returned to his proper place much to the joy of both the yarn bombers and the RNLI crew, who had reportedly grown fond of him.
