The Freemason's Provincial Grand Charity and members of Redcar's De Brus Lodge presented £700 to Ruth Fox, manager of the Redcar Foodbank.

The donated funds will enable the organisation to purchase two much needed new computers.

‘Footprints in the Community’ exists to relieve poverty in the Redcar and Cleveland area, through emergency food provision, assistance with baby equipment, referral to counselling, befriending and general help.

The charity was in desperate need of new computers, as the ‘refurbished’ computers that they originally purchased proved to be ‘false economy’ as they continually ‘crashed’.

Ruth Fox, Manager of Footprints and Foodbank said "A massive thank you to the Provincial Grand Charity and the De Brus Lodge for their donation of £700 to help us buy laptops for Foodbank and Footprints. This is essential equipment in the work we do.

"We really appreciate their support - thank you!"
