Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision which happened on Brotton Road in Carlin How on Friday evening, 13th February.

The collision happened at around 7.25pm and involved a 78-year-old male pedestrian and a Vauxhall Zafira.

The man, from the Carlin How area, is in a critical but stable condition at James Cook University Hospital. 

Witnesses who may have seen the collision or the pedestrian or vehicle immediately prior to the collision are asked to contact PC Martin Tranmer from the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit on the non-emergency number 101, quoting event number 024961.
