Man Bailed in Connection with Indecent Assault in Guisborough
A 19-year-old man arrested in connection with an indecent assault on an elderly lady in Guisborough has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
The incident took place at around 9.20am on Sunday 7th December when the elderly lady was in her car outside the Salvation Army shop on Westgate in Guisborough.
A man got into her car asking for a lift, and remained in the car as they drove down Westgate for around 300 yards. The woman then parked up outside Curtain Boutique where it is alleged that the man indecently assaulted her whilst still in the vehicle.
Police had issued an appeal to find the man, and had urged him to come forward. A 19-year-old man was arrested yesterday afternoon.
The man was taken into police custody and questioned yesterday before being released on police bail.
