Police investigating an incident on Normanby High Street believe a 21-year-old man received significant injuries as a result of a motorbike collision. Officers believe that the man may have been either the driver or pillion passenger.

The man was found by an ambulance crew at around 4.30am on Normanby High Street yesterday morning, Sunday 16th November. He is currently in James Cook Hospital in a critical condition.

A motorcycle was recovered near to where the man was found and police believe no other vehicles were involved. 

A 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and he has been bailed pending further enquiries.

Police would appeal for anyone who may have information that could assist the investigation to contact them on 101.
