Detectives are releasing CCTV following an armed robbery at a convenience store in Ormesby.

The robbery took place at around 3.30pm on Longbank Road on Friday 17th October. 

A man entered the store armed with a weapon, believed to be a hammer, and demanded goods while making threats to a male member of staff.

The man caused damage to the counter, before fleeing with a very small number of cigarettes. No cash was taken during the incident and no one was injured.

In an earlier appeal, the suspect was described as a white man wearing dark clothing and white trainers. He ran off in the direction of Springbank Road.
