A man has been arrested in connection with a reported assault in Middlesbrough;

Police are appealing for dash cam footage and witnesses following a single vehicle collision on Dixon’s Bank in Middlesbrough;

...and Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council are reminding residents to sign up for the garden waste collection service.

 

A man has been arrested in connection with a reported assault in Middlesbrough.

The 39-year-old man was arrested following a report of an assault outside The Empire on Corporation Road at around 11:20pm on Saturday.

He was arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent and remains in police custody at this time.

Officers continue to appeal to trace a male victim, who left the scene prior to police arrival.

He is described as being aged in his early twenties, wearing dark clothing and possibly a white hooded top.

Police would like to speak to this man in connection with the incident and to check on his welfare.

Anyone who may know the identity of the male or anyone who may have further information, is asked to contact Cleveland Police on the non-emergency number 101.

 

Police are appealing for dash cam footage and witnesses following a single vehicle collision on Dixon’s Bank in Middlesbrough.

At around 3pm on Friday afternoon, a red Peugeot 208 collided with a telegraph pole at the junction between the A172 and Guisborough Road.

Nobody was injured in the incident.

The 48-year-old man driving the car was arrested at the scene on suspicion of dangerous driving and drug driving.

He has been bailed pending further enquiries.

Anyone with information or footage is asked to call police on 101.

 

Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council are reminding residents to sign up for the garden waste collection service.

The opt-in collection service costs £40 for one garden waste bin to be collected fortnightly from April to November, and the first collections will start next Tuesday 2nd April.

However residents need to sign up on or before the end of today to guarantee the first collection.
