Three men have been arrested by officers investigating thefts of quad bikes from commercial premises in Redcar and Cleveland;

A motorcyclist who sustained serious injuries in a collision in Middlesbrough last Thursday has sadly died;

...and another Cost of Living Crisis Community drop-in session is taking place today.

 

Three men have been arrested by officers investigating thefts of quad bikes from commercial premises in Redcar and Cleveland.

One Honda was previously recovered by police after being reported stolen from the Skelton area in early October.

It was involved in a lengthy pursuit, ending when its tyres were deflated by a police stinger device.

At this time, the suspects fled the scene on another quad however three men aged 18, 21 and 22 have now been arrested in connection with this burglary.

Further enquiries by teams of officers yesterday led to another stolen bike being recovered - along with a stun gun, a machete and a large quantity of cash.

The three men are in custody being questioned and enquiries are ongoing.

 

A motorcyclist who sustained serious injuries in a collision in Middlesbrough last Thursday has sadly died.

The man's family is being supported by specialist officers and our thoughts are with them at this extremely difficult time.

The collision occurred just before 25 past 5 last Thursday on Riverside Park Road in Middlesbrough, close to the Raleigh Court junction.

It involved an Audi A4 and a Honda motorbike. 

A 25-year-old man remains on bail after being arrested in connection with the collision.

Anyone with information or dashcam or cctv footage is asked to contact Cleveland Police on the non-emergency number 101.

 

Another Cost of Living Crisis Community drop-in session is taking place today.

The event is being held at Nite Light Community Hub in South Bank, opposite the Asda supermarket, between 2.30pm – 4.30pm today.

Residents are encouraged to pop in and speak to the services, which include the Warm and Well Team, Trading Standards, Redcar and Cleveland Citizens Advice, Carers Together, Cleveland Fire Brigade UK and Redcar & Cleveland Mind.

All will be on hand to offer advice, guidance and support on a range of topics.
