A jet ski and a caravan have been destroyed in a fire in Ormesby.

Cleveland Fire Brigade was called to Wycherley Close in Ormesby at around 3.15am on Saturday after reports of a property fire.

The caravan and jet ski were completely destroyed in the blaze.

The brigade also said there was damage to the rear of house, fencing, the rear garage, and a car next door.

Grangetown Fire Station sent two engines to the scene.

Crews left the scene at around 4.50am.

It is not yet known what started the blaze.

The cause of a huge fire at Ormesby Grange Farm last week is "undetermined," the fire service has said.

Fire crews were called to the grounds of the historic stately home Ormesby Hall on Wednesday evening after approximately 500 bales of hay set alight inside a barn.

Dramatic images from the incident show smoke billowing into the sky as flames tore through the barn.

Cleveland Fire Brigade remained at the scene until just after 6pm on Thursday, over 24 hours since crews received the initial callout.

The fire service has now confirmed that the cause of the blaze is currently "undetermined" and that investigations will now take place as per usual procedure.

Barclays have announced the closure of another branch in our area.

The national bank has announced that its Redcar bank, on Station Road, will be closing for good later this year.

Barclays said that, in total, fewer than 10 regular customers use the branch as their exclusive way of banking.

This means there will be no physical branch of Barclays bank in Redcar and Cleveland from Wednesday, November 15, when the doors will close for the final time in Redcar.

The closure of the Redcar branch means that people living in our area will now have to travel to Middlesbrough town centre to access a physical Barclays bank.
