Police swarmed a number of streets in Eston on Friday afternoon after receiving reports of an injured male at Whale Hill shops, just off Birchington Avenue.

A 43-year-old man had reportedly been injured with a weapon on Grosmont Road - with armed police then sent to the nearby address.

Police are appealing for information after two incidents in Redcar.

At around 5.45am last Tuesday a car was broken into on Whitby Crescent.

Shortly after an attempted burglary occurred at a property on Canterbury Road.

Two males were arrested in connection with the incidents and have been released on bail.

Officers are appealing to anyone with information regarding the incidents or anyone with private CCTV or doorbell footage which shows the males to contact Cleveland Police on the non-emergency number 101.
