Two men have appeared in court after two separate incidents in our area in recent days.
A 25-year-old man has been charged with a number of offences following an incident in the Loftus area on Saturday.
The man was charged with assault, threats to kill and intentional strangulation and remanded in custody before appearing at Teesside Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
In a separate matter, a 27-year-old man appeared in court yesterday charged with two counts of assault.
He was remanded in custody following an incident in the South Bank area on Tuesday.
Almost £100,000 worth of cannabis has been seized by police officers in a drugs raid.
Officers from Middlesbrough’s Neighbourhood Policing Team uncovered the farm of 106 plants though to be worth around £99,000 at a property on Leven Street in the town yesterday.
Two men, aged 25 and 38, have been charged with drugs offences, and appeared at Teesside Magistrates’ Court yesterday morning.
Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council have revealed that works are about to begin on the new cultural and leisure attraction in Redcar.
The initial phase of the project with involve the removal of asbestos from the old Marks and Spencer and Goodwin's buildings.
All local businesses, both in the High Street and along the Esplanade will remain open throughout the process, which is estimated to take about 12 weeks, after which time the new attraction will start to take shape.
