One person has been taken to hospital after emergency services were called to concerns for a person in the water in Redcar.
Police and ambulance crews were spotted at the Majuba Road car park yesterday evening, with ambulance crews sending a clinical team leader, two emergency ambulance crews and the air ambulance to the scene at around ten past seven.
Redcar RNLI has confirmed it also launched a lifeboat after reports of a "person or persons in the water off Majuba Road."
The North East Ambulance Service has confirmed that one person has been taken to the James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough.
Their current condition is unknown.
A major road in our area had to be closed for a number of hours following a multi-car collision.
Emergency services were called to the A174 near Eston on Tuesday shortly after 7pm after receiving reports of a three-car pile up on the westbound carriageway.
Police and paramedics quickly arrived at the scene, where officers were forced to close the road to motorists while the cars involved in the smash were recovered from the road.
Paramedics from the North East Ambulance Service dispatched an ambulance crew to the crash, where one person was treated but discharged at the scene.
No one was seriously injured.
A local health trust has achieved a national gold award for supporting the armed forces.
South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has been awarded the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Award in recognition of its ongoing commitment to the armed forces community.
The gold award is the highest badge of honour an employer can receive in the Ministry of Defence Employer Recognition Scheme.
The scheme was set up to recognise organisations that pledge, demonstrate or advocate support to the armed forces community, and align their values with the Armed Forces Covenant.
