At around 1am on Saturday, the 17 year old student was riding the bike on Cargo Fleet lane near its junction with Fulbeck Road and the Go Local shop when he was followed then approached by three males.
They were all in balaclavas and all three were on one black moped with no lights on and no registration plate.
