The body of a woman has been found in a flat in Middlesbrough as a man was rushed to hospital by paramedics.

Cleveland Police has confirmed the man remains in a critical condition at James Cook University Hospital.

Emergency services were first called to the property in Fosdyke Green, in Netherfields, at around 9.45am yesterday.

The air ambulance landed nearby but one patient was taken to hospital by road.

Police have confirmed that a woman was found dead inside the property.

An investigation is ongoing but detectives do not believe the woman's death is suspicious.

A court has heard how a driver lost her temper, chased a teenage boy on his bike, and rammed her car into the back of him.

The boy went flying up into the air when Phoebe Groves' Vauxhall Astra smashed into his bike, on Fabian Road in Eston, on the evening of August 7, 2021.

Groves, of Westminster Close in Eston, pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm and dangerous driving.

Groves was handed a 12-month prison term, suspended for two-years.

She was ordered to carry out 150-hours of unpaid work and attend 40 rehabilitation days.

The judge also disqualified her from driving for 12-months, and she must pass an extended driving test before she is allowed her licence back.
