A man in his thirties has been arrested on suspicion of harassment and two counts of assaulting an emergency worker.

The man was arrested shortly after 1pm yesterday, when officers responded to a call at a property in Caldicot Close in Grangetown.

The man was taken into police custody.

Cleveland Police say that they are aware of a video is circulating on social media, that was filmed at the time of the arrest.

They have asked that people refrain from speculating about this incident on social media as it may harm legal proceedings.

 

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information after an incident in Redcar.

The incident happened around 6:15pm on Sunday as a man jogged along West Dyke Road at the junction with Micklow Close. 

A 13-year-old boy shouted towards the jogger, before the boy was pushed or kicked from behind, causing him to fall to the floor and leaving him with facial grazing.

The man is described as a white male, wearing a bright green or yellow long sleeved running top, leggings and shorts over the top.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or anyone who may have information is asked to contact Cleveland Police on the non-emergency number 101.

 

Police are appealing to trace a man with a distinctive tattoo on his hand in connection with a reported armed robbery in Middlesbrough.

The incident happened around 8pm on Monday 13th February on Cumberland Road at the Welcome Stores, when two males entered the store, one in possession of a bladed weapon.

The suspects made off with the contents of the till and the cigarette display, before briefly leaving and then returning and attempting to remove items from the alcohol counter.

They then left the shop and made off on foot towards Albert Park.

Anyone with information  is asked to contact Middlesbrough CID on 101.
