Four men have been arrested over an attack as part of a large police operation in Dormanstown and Redcar.
Police vehicles descended on Westfield Court and Britannia Place in Dormanstown yesterday morning as part of what Cleveland Police have described as an "ongoing investigation".
A police presence was spotted along both streets with officers guarding a property on Westfield Court and other officers focusing activity on an address on Britannia Place.
There were also reports of armed police entering a property on Brooksbank Avenue, in Redcar.
Cleveland Police said four males were arrested in connection with an assault and were taken into police custody.
A woman has had to be airlifted to hospital after falling from the A19 Tees flyover.
Emergency services rushed to the A19 just after half past midday on Saturday after a 56-year-old woman fell from the flyover, above the A66 Southbound, into a tree and bushes before landing on the ground below.
The woman was the airlifted to hospital, with the North East Ambulance Service also sending two paramedic ambulances, a clinical team leader, and a specialist paramedic.
Police are describing it as a 'welfare incident'.
The current condition of the woman is unknown.
A youth group offering a lifeline to struggling families has received a financial boost from a North-East building society.
Darlington Building Society has donated £3,000 to support the work of a community youth group in Liverton Mines.
The youth group was founded in 2011 by the town's St Hilda's Church, which has since closed and relocated services to the village hall.
However, staff and volunteers continue to run the youth club, alongside a variety of activities and support services.
The Society's donation will primarily be used to support the club's running costs, but some has been put aside for a special treat.
