A man has been arrested following a drugs raid yesterday.
Middlesbrough Neighbourhood Officers, assisted by the Force Proactive Unit and a police dog, executed a drugs warrant at an address on Aire Street in Newport.
A 37 year old male was arrested on suspicion of possession of class A drugs with intent to supply, and on suspicion of 2 counts of assaulting an emergency worker.
He was taken into police custody.

Police are appealing for the public's help to trace a missing teenager from our area.
Officers are appealing to trace missing 17-year-old Alfie Moore, who was last seen in Dormanstown on Saturday.
Alfie is a white male, 6 ft tall with brown hair and he wears black rimmed glasses.
He was last seen wearing grey tracksuit bottoms, a black coat and green trainers.
Anyone who has seen him is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101.
Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council are inviting residents to have their say on budget proposals.
Like many councils up and down the country, Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council are facing a significant shortfall in funding due to rising cost pressures from inflation and increasing demands for council services.
The council has put together budget proposals to allow it to deliver services and make sure that it can continue to provide help and support for those who need it most throughout our borough.
