A patient has been taken to hospital after emergency services were called to a street in Thorntree yesterday.
An air ambulance was spotted landing on Thorntree Avenue at around 1.13pm yesterday afternoon.
The Great North Air Ambulance and the North East Ambulance Service confirmed that they attended a private address on Rainham Close just after 1pm and one patient was taken to James Cook University Hospital by road ambulance.
No further updates on the patients condition have been released.
Work is set to begin on the creation of a huge 150,000-tonne platform for the South Bank Quay.
Middlesbrough-based ZTL Contracting has been appointed to re-engineer earthwork materials that would otherwise not be suitable for re-use.
This is done by bringing earthworks together with a combination of lime and cement.
The regional supplier will use innovative cutting-edge techniques and specialist equipment for the works, with between 100,000 and 150,000 tonnes of material used which would otherwise be sent to landfill.
Landside work at the South Bank Quay is due to be complete in summer of 2023, with planned completion of the entire project due ahead of schedule in late autumn 2023.
Councillors have green-lighted £2.5m plans which will see the establishment of an employment and skills hub in Loftus.
Redcar and Cleveland Council previously acquired several properties in Temperance Square, which include three shops, flats on the upper floors and a bungalow.
The retailers are being relocated and provided with financial incentives to support their transition.
Subject to planning permission, the buildings will be demolished and a new single-storey employment and skills hub built.
The new hub will provide office space for the council’s employment growth team, with three to four staff being present each day, along with space for evening classes and employment assessment centres when required.
