Police are appealing to the public for information after a man was found injured in our area.

Police received a call from a member of the public yesterday on Tuesday after they located a man unconscious on the 'black path' between Church Lane in Grangetown and Strauss Road in Southbank.

The report was made at around 5pm and the injured male, who is aged 31, is currently receiving treatment for serious injuries at James Cook University Hospital.

Officers are working to establish how the man sustained the injuries and are appealing to the public for information.

Anyone who has information is asked to contact Cleveland Police on the non-emergency number.

Plans to bring in charges at a car park used by parents to pick up and drop off their children from school have received an angry reaction.

Mums, dads and carers of pupils who attend Saltburn Learning Campus have used the car park at Saltburn Leisure Centre - which is owned by Saltburn's cricket club - for years.

However Saltburn Cricket, Bowls and Tennis Club, which owns the car park, is set to introduce Parking Eye fees there within the next few weeks.

The sporting club leases the car park to Redcar and Cleveland Council's Saltburn Leisure Centre via a 125-year lease.

Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council have revealed that the Majuba car park in Redcar will be closed on a number of dates in the coming week to allow filming for a new television series.

The filming, which will be aired on the BBC, will mean a partial closure today until around 2pm - however some bays will still available.

The car park will be fully closed all day on the 7th, 8th, and 9th November, and there will then be a partial closure on Thursday 10th November from around 7am-2pm - with some bays still available.

The council says that more details about the series will be revealed soon.
