Police have confirmed that a body has been found in the search for missing man;

...and Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council have announced that a local library is to be closed for refurbishment work to take place.

 

A boy had to be taken to hospital after being involved in a collision with a vehicle in our area yesterday.

The incident occurred yesterday lunchtime on the Trunk Road close to the Cleveland Retail Park.

Emergency services attended and the Great North Air Ambulance was also called to the scene.

It is understood that the boy received treatment for a small head injury and a broken collarbone, and was released from hospital later in the day.

 

Police have confirmed that a body has been found in the search for missing man.

25-year-old Jack Millward was last seen in the Acklam Road and Maldon Road area of Middlesbrough last Wednesday at around 4pm.

The disappearance prompted a police search stating officers were 'concerned his his welfare'.

Cleveland Police descended on the the Newport area of Middlesbrough yesterday.

In a statement the force said that the death is being treated as non-suspicious.

Formal identification has not yet taken place but police officers have informed Jack's family and are supporting them.

 

Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council have announced that a local library is to be closed for refurbishment work to take place.

From Monday the Ormesby Library will be closed in order to complete its refurbishment works.

The interior will be redesigned with new furniture, shelving, toilets, decorations and a new heating system is to be installed.

Whilst the building is closed, users can borrow more books and for a longer period.
