Police are appealing for witnesses and information after an altercation in Middlesbrough;

Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council sat that they are really disappointed after a childrens play area in our area was damaged at the weekend;

...and a number of further structures were demolished at the Teesworks site yesterday evening.

 

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after an altercation in Middlesbrough.

The incident took place around 3:10am on Sunday 12th June at the junction of Albert Road and Corporation Road.

Three male suspects are believed to have been involved in the incident, whereby three male victims are believed to have been assaulted.

A number of people are believed to have witnessed the incident and officers would appeal to these people to come forward.

Officers are appealing to any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward and speak to them about the incident.

Anyone with information can call Cleveland Police on the non-emergency number 101.

 

Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council sat that they are really disappointed after a childrens play area in our area was damaged at the weekend.

The play park in Whale Hill was vandalised, with play equipment set on fire and other equipment damaged.

Posting on Facebook, the council say that they are working on getting the park cleaned up and repaired as quickly as possible but it will remain closed until this work can be completed.

Anyone with information about who vandalised the park is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101.

 

A number of further structures were demolished at the Teesworks site yesterday evening.

At around 8.15 yesterday evening, the west and east chimneys of the Redcar Coke Ovens were levelled with explosives.

Two battery bunkersm, a number of sections of high level conveyer and a junction house were also brought down.

The explosion could be heard across a wide area, with a large cloud of smoke and dust slowly drifting out sea afterwards.
